I was born and raised in Ohio and will always be a “Buckeye.” Over the years I have lived in a variety of states from Florida to Washington and several in between before arriving in Pennsylvania with my husband Isaac.
Before I answered the call to ministry I worked in a plethora of different fields and jobs. I have been (including but not limited to) a wildlife rehabilitator, a naturalist, a camp counselor, a camp program director, a barn manager, a horseback riding instructor, a high and low ropes course facilitator, an office administrator (veterinarian, dentist, chiropractic) a vet assistant, a musician, a zoo educator, and a UU youth advisor… just to name a few!
It was through my husband that I found Unitarian Universalism. When we were dating he brought me to his tiny UU church in DeLand Florida, and I knew then that I had come home. My faith as a UU is at the core of my being as a human, always striving to live our Seven Principles out loud in a way that fosters justice equity and compassion.
I am now living in Concord, MA serving at First Parish in Concord as the Minister in Residence. Outside of ministry I have a lot of great passions! I am a proud mom of two dogs Sam and Derby and a snake, Teddy. I am a competitive equestrian
riding in both Hunters and Dressage. I play both the French Horn and Ukulele and have also been teaching a Ukulele class here at First Parish! I have recently taken up quilting as a spiritual practice and have enjoyed making stoles for my friends/colleagues special occasions!
